The slon instance acting as a watchdog in 2.0.x isn't restarting the 
worker slon process when it exits on a SIGALRM.  I can't think of why we 
wouldn't want to restart the slon in this case (in looking through logs 
I have found places where the slon does exit on a SIGALRM) .  The 
following patch does this.
