Beta #3 is now available at http://developer.postgresql.org/~wieck/slony1/download/slony1-1.1.0.beta3.tar.gz Three changes this week: 1. Fixed SGML documentation so it builds on RHAT/OpenJade. (Evidently there was a lack of closing tags causing grief there.) 2. Makers of .deb and .rpm packages have submitted spec/control files that generate packages, which led to clearing up a lot of small details surrounding the installation of components. 3. One performance improvement (we're trying to avoid other than fixes of problems, bu this was too tempting to pass up): The COPY_SET event now drops indices on tables before performing the COPY to copy data to a new subscriber, and then recreates the indices afresh. This new option, controlled by the "drop_indices" slon parameter, should lead to noticeably better performance when subscribing large sets.
