Did a message a long these lines get displayed in the output of configure?

configure SHOULD have displayed this as a warning (due to the original issue
reported in bug159 the official distribution of 2.0.5 doesn't actually include
this file).

If your configure didn't display this warning than that is a bug/issue  that we
should look into.

If it did then you need to either upgrade your flex version OR if this is a big
problem I can generate these files for you and attach them to this bug.
