In a related matter, the files

test_slony_state.pl
test_slony_state-dbi.pl

each start with

#!/usr/bin/perl   # -*- perl -*-

which doesn't work because

Can't open perl script "# -*- perl -*-": No such file or directory

I think you should just remove the editor mark, because the editor will surely
recognize #!/usr/bin/perl and the .pl extension.
